Privacy & account deletion

Your privacy, your account

How DayToday uses your information and how you can delete your account.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

About this policy

DayToday (the "app", available at dayhisab.com and on Google Play as DayToday) is developed and operated by Sarbjeet, Aman, and Deep ("we", "us"), an independent developer team and not a registered company. This policy explains what information the app collects from you, how it's used, and how you can request that it be removed.

Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work:

CategoryWhat's included
Account information Your name, mobile number (used as your login username), and optionally an email address. Your login PIN is stored as a one-way (BCrypt) hash — we never store or can see your actual PIN.
Business records you enter Milk, labor, and vegetable-sale entries, payments/settlements, and the customer or owner links between accounts — i.e. the day-to-day accounting data you use the app to track.
App preferences Your selected display language.
Push notification token A device token (Expo push token) used to deliver in-app notifications to your device. You can stop this at any time by disabling notifications or signing out.
Help & Support messages Messages you send through in-app Help & Support, plus an optional photo attachment if you choose to add one.
Basic technical/log data Standard server access logs (IP address, request timestamp, and app request path) kept briefly for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing issues.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos outside of what you explicitly attach to a support message, or any advertising identifiers, and we do not use the app to track you across other apps or websites.

How we use this information

  • To create and secure your account, and let you log in with your PIN.
  • To store and display the milk, labor, vegetable, and payment records you and, if applicable, your linked owner/customer accounts enter.
  • To send you in-app notifications relevant to your account.
  • To respond to Help & Support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and diagnose technical problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who can see your data

If you're a customer, the owner account(s) you're linked to can see the records associated with that link (this is how the app is designed to work — an owner tracks accounts for the people they work with). If you're an owner, you can see records for the customers you've added or linked. We (the developer) can access data only as needed to operate the service, investigate a support request, or fix a technical issue.

Account & data deletion

DayToday does not provide a Delete Account button in the app. Accounts that are not used for three consecutive months are automatically deleted by our backend. This page is the public Account Deletion Link for DayToday.

  1. Email support.dayhisab@gmail.com if you want your account deleted sooner.
  2. Include your registered mobile number and account name so we can identify your account.
  3. We will verify the request and process the deletion.

You can also simply leave the account unused. The backend runs this automatic deletion process once the account has been inactive for three months.

Important: deleting an account cannot be undone. You will need to register a new account to use DayToday again.

What happens when an account is deleted

When deletion happensDeletion happens automatically after three consecutive months without signing in, or earlier after we verify a request sent to our support email.
What is removed from active useYour account can no longer sign in or appear in normal app lookups. The app removes access to your profile information, selected language, PIN credentials, and notifications associated with that account.
Business records linked to othersMilk, labor, vegetable, and payment records recorded by an owner remain in that owner’s bookkeeping history. Deleting your account removes your access and account link, but does not erase another person’s business records.
What may be retainedWe keep limited account and deletion-record information where needed for security, fraud prevention, audit, legal obligations, and protected backup recovery. Retained information is not available through the app or used for marketing.

For a question about a deletion request, use Help & Support in the app or email support.dayhisab@gmail.com.

Data retention

We keep your account and records while the account is active. An account is deleted after three consecutive months without signing in, or earlier after a verified email request. After deletion, the account is removed from active use. We retain only the limited information described above when it is necessary for legitimate security, legal, audit, or backup-recovery purposes.

Security

Your login PIN is never stored in plain text. Access to the app requires a valid signed-in session, and accounts that remain inactive for three months are automatically deleted as an extra safeguard. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children's privacy

DayToday is intended for general/business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify users in the app.
